Do trust my silence..

If I say someday,

“I want to be yours”,

Don’t trust me,

I may be feeling lonely that day.

If I say someday,

“I can’t live without you”,

Don’t trust me,

My insecurities speak a lot.

If I say someday,

“You are the most beautiful person”,

Don’t trust me,

Flirting never makes a perfect lover.

If I say someday,

“I want to hold your hand”,

Don’t trust me,

My lust may deceive you.

If I say someday,

“I will fulfill all your desires”,

Don’t trust me,

I don’t have any Genie.

If I say someday,

“Lets the tender leaves unite tonight”,

Don’t trust me,

I have been good with words.

If I say someday,

“I Love You”,

Don’t trust me,

I fall in love so often.

But if someday,

I am left with no words,

Yet eyes speaking aloud,

Do trust my silence..

You Never Know

Blaming our phobias and our age,
Won't set us free from the cage.
You know it doesn't take much to shut the doors,
And cry out loud that we aren't anymore close.

We could have touched our broken corners,
We could have scratched that thick rust,
We should have thought of rediscovering, reinventing,
Or just a little about mending, blending and lending.

You never know,
The magic could have lasted.

See, there has always been a need,
Of roots for soil, of souls for turmoil,
But who said we are here traveling alone,
There are millions-billions of seeds already sown.

Sadly, the millions are now just options,
Same old stories looking with adaptations,
We quote words which change with seasons,
Autumns are often, and we ignore the reasons.

Wish in the early days our heartbeats weren't so fast,
Wish our mushy words had broken up with our heart,
We could have smitten us with our sincere silence,
We should have been acquainted with our violence.

You never know,
The magic could have lasted.

Or maybe they are all wrong choices,
Maybe we couldn't have tried being less selfish,
Or maybe we were never meant to be together,
But still we met to realize what not Love is!

Or maybe we'll cross our paths once again,
And kiss each other talking of old days,
We'll talk of all the lovers we had,
eventually about having our new pad.

You never know,
The magic will last forever!

Words

Words,
dying in the rage of showy,
sleeping in the cage of shy.

Words,
The cage, the rage and the hostage too.

Words,
victim of a vile woman,
and that of angry men.

Words,
power of  a miserable mother,
and that of the politicians.

Words,
the power, the victim and the culprit too.

Words,
A safe home to a writer,
and an escape to many.

Words,
the light, the plight and the fright.

Touch Me Not

Don't,
'cause if you touched me today,
you will do it over and over,
but believe me,
I will be the same,
the same soul.

I am

Touch Me Not.

Compromise

All it flows like an unconfined river,
And I am one of the pebbles,
Drifting along the times,
Sometimes sluggish, sometimes swiftly,
Losing the contour and the skin I got.

All it grows like a stretching tree,
And I am one of the shed leaves,
unaware of where this dark night will lead,
But losing my dry soul this autumn,
Will enhance the charm of trees for sure.

All it soothes like this embellishing room,
And I am one of the curtains so elegant,
 dancing with this strong wind.
The dust sometimes hits me hard,
Still I guard those unveiled cards.

All it tastes like any other cappuccino,
And I am one of its ingredients.
Mixed and blended to give it savour.
I was appreciated for giving this recipe a name,
But still never accepted the way I was.

In the dim light of moon,
Shines this charismatic river,
The wind touching my chest,
Comes after plucking those leaves.

The pebbles unnoticed,
Or it may be the separated leaves.
I am pleased for the love they express,
But this very moment
I see a different shade,
Compromise under the name of love.

I stand still, facing the window,
With the coffee set for appreciation,
The breeze knocks for space,
Hitting those cuddling curtains.

The juvenile curtains,
Or it be the luscious coffee,
I am pleased for the altruism they express,
But this very moment
I hear their silent voice,
Compromise under the noise of life.

I feel like being a mirror,
Never cleaned for years,
Still how can I show you, my love,
The same old image.

I tried reflecting back what I got,
But failed even this time,
Since under the name of a relation,
I am compromising too.

P.S. It's an very old poem which I completed this morning.

Chant of Silence

When everyone seek something outside,
the treaters welcome them with lies,
There, someone asks them to take a stand,
Lavishly portraying, it isn't a helpless land.
Few mountains need to be moved,
a selfish river to be crossed,
There's a noise religiously taught,
and still they assume they aren't lost.
When the change is divine,
it should always be for good,
Remember, they'll make things vague,
by seeking fire from damp wood.

The curses and the omens they carry,
will cautiously get someone's voice,
In panic, they will scream to bury,

but chant of silence will always be a choice.

Happy Families

Secrets they tell and rest penetrate by own,
a need they share, like flesh to bone.
Discreet colors of 'I' turns into 'We',
They accept the random,
letting the thick red blood to be free.

Chords to chaos they warmly connect,
Sometimes they sort, and rest they reject.
Of all laughter they played,
and the times when sorrows were delayed,
Happy Families were then naturally framed.

P.S. Dedicated to my World's Best Family!

(You and Me, Part 10)

You, Me and the monster

I gaze out of the window,
I look at the moving street,
I struggle through the passing movers,
But, I find him only in the mirror.

He, who is the ocean of innocence,
or may be trying hard to hold it long.
I try asking him the same question,
but his wits to drift them are too strong.

O Monster, what made you to come out last night?
O Monster, why did you make "You and Me" fight?
With You, O monster, I am the other side of "Me",
but with "you", my lover, I can always be "Me".

I know what takes you back, O monster.
It's tears of my beloved,
But, they are too precious to be sold,
under the deals of our tricked arguments.

No negotiations, we need in our love,
Never libidinous can be the spirit of our love,
Though they both touches you at times,
O monster, why aren't you afraid of any crime?

They say, but

They say,
never take eatables  from strangers in train,
but,
she cooked delicious fish that night.

They say,
Bengalis are too mean to be befriended,
but,
her altruism was beyond such definitions.

They say,
Anti-virus is must for smooth running of laptops,
but,
because of its absence, there were our smooth meetings.

They say,
it's difficult to read a doctor's writing,
but,
my love wrote me letters beautifully.

They say,
an apple a day keeps the doctor away,
but,
A doc serves me apple every morning.

They say,
heighted pillows can give neck pain,
but,
my love's thigh makes the best pillow.

They say,
Love is illogical,
but,
my love added deep logic to my existence.

Society

Society,
Sophisticated, stressed and stained.
Society,
Stripped, skinned and sustained.

What you know, and what you believe,
Is too vast to be taken,
And too deep to be fallen for,
Still you say "Do as we say",
For humanity, why humans are your prey?

Society,
Salted, sugared and saturated.
Society,
Skeptic, suspicious, and salivated .

You see what’s there over the face,
And you purposely adore the same,
Not just the curves,  words too are framed,
But how can you be keen on them,
when blind you are since ages?

Society, a swollen stage of savoir-faire,
Society, a spiritual  shore of satire.

People

People,
pure, passionate, poised,
People,
pretentious, perverts, possessed.

Their hunger,
honest, hiked, horny.
Their needs,
natural, nasty, naughty.
Their intensions,
innocent, immoral, inapt.

Their relations,
rude, righteous, rough.
Their soul,
soothing, sceptic, stubborn.
Their believes,
begrimed, bold, bluffed.
Their sizes,
 stiff, small, stuffed.

People,
prized, prideful,  prudent,
People,
poor,  potent, perfectly imperfect.

An ache

An ache,
tossed and twisted,
of reason unknown,
touches me every now and then,
but whenever I look into it,
it fakes, it smiles and then settles.

An ache,
jewelled and lured,
of desires unknown,
touches me every other night,
but the moment the lightning strikes,
it fakes, it smiles and then settles.

An ache,
punned and salted,
of fears unknown,
touches me in the crowd,
but the moment I feel detached,
it fakes, it smiles and then settles.

You, Me and our Friendship - Little Confusion!

(You and Me Part 8)

I want a table for two,

You convince me it to be for five,

I crave for just you and me,

You make me feel it won’t look nice.

I only want to spend some time with you,

Let destiny decide how it goes with you,

I really don’t want to think what others say,

Life without you will be miserable every day.

You, the beauty, and Me, the admirer,

I am not out of words, but make up to be a liar.

If I would have been selfish,

I may have left you the other day,

When you told you love someone else,

But love can be jealous, but never selfish.

Many times I say to my mirror “We are friends”,

But, when I look into your eyes its hard to pretend,

And this crazy world knows all about my feelings,

You don’t see it or you too pretend?

You, my love, and Me, just your friends,

Still with a hope that things may work in the end.

You, Me and Our little imperfections!

(You and Me Part 7)

The questions we raise,

The reasons we make,

None required, yet we say,

They all mean too little,

Just as little imperfections.

Your pronunciations, and my expressions,

Your feeling-low, and my getting-higher,

Your kisses, and my surrendering,

All perfect in dreamy frames,

All fitting little imperfections.

Me, your Tom, and You, my Jerry,

Perfect lovers, even if we can’t marry!

Not a single choice for the same colour,

Except the choice of being lovers,

Truly random, we are the extremes,

Written by our Lord,

yet we make imperfect scenes.

The way you fight, the way I laugh,

The way you look, the way I steal eyes,

The way you mess up, the way I clear it,

Way which is leading our destination,

Through many imperfect lanes.

You, my seventh sky, and Me, your cloud nine,

Together we bring every imperfection in line.

You, Me and Our Colours! ( You and Me Part 6)

The white of your purity,
the red of our romance,
the blue of the moonlight,
and black of the followed night.

Me, the blank canvas, and you, my brush,
adding colours to my life without any rush!

The Green to let things go easily,
the phony yellow for our fresh pages,
the pink that makes us best,
the golden of rejoice and then rest.

Me, the rainbow, and You, my sky,
with the droplets of love, never we turn dry!

Emotions ..

".. shy they are,

when held in closed eyes,

when words can be touched,

and warmth of breaths felt,

so one can say,

they never lie,

but emotions do lie.."

"..frozen they become,

to cheat the toil,

of accepting they care,

to calm the turmoil,

of suspension of lies,

so you can say,

they are dry,

but emotions never turn dry.."

"..and when aged,

they are kept sealed,

still they are getting stolen,

through open eyes,

no one can say,

they never cry,

but emotions do cry.."

2011: Your pieces, my words.

If I say you were just another year,

I know you will feel bad,

and probably I haven't turned that bad,

to draft your adieu sad.

Of all emotions we shared,

I remember a few that dared,

to challenge the resistance to change,

to face my own thinking range.

Professionalism I was taught,

In diplomats I was caught,

Of emotions, I felt a drought,

To overcome it, I drank a lot.

You gave me job: one, two and three,

you made two love birds set free,

you witnessed me leaving my city to start a new,

finally you brought in amazing people, and not just few.

You enlightened me with not just words,

You gave my life The best foreword.

I lived a decade in a single year,

jotting my life with joys and tears.

"When the End is Inevitable, Celebrate it."

Wishing you and your family a great New year Eve, and the days ahead. J

An open Love Letter

(Written at New Delhi station waitin room last night)

Though you never shown your love for me,

But it was indeed there.

And it went up with every passing day month and year.

Though I never realized; and even made you feel

Awkward while mentioning about you to others,

And finally one day I left you.

Though being together wasn’t even an available option,

But still it made me feel bad,

Yaa, probably not that bad.

You made me, my memories, all good and bad.

I was in you, may be happy or sad.

I laughed out loud with you, and yes, cried loud in you.

Then one day, that goes not so long back,

I left you, to start a new.

And today when I step to visit you again,

You are still the same to welcome me.

Which gives me the reason to spend my whole life,

With you and in you.

Though the time isn’t favoring this time,

But, you know my dear city,

Even the day isn’t that far. ;)

Bliss

Bliss it was to know you forgetting every known tricks,

bliss it was to know me, like you do, fearing no risk.

Bliss it was to play with your ears like no-one ever caressed,

bliss it was to tangle your hair like no-one ever dared.

Bliss it was to paint you on this large canvas,

bliss it was to gaze it for hours though shy i was.

Bliss it was to adore the mirror holding you,

bliss it was to feel that it made me jealous too.

Bliss is was when for the first time you voiced 'love you',

bliss it was when at times my silence was coupled by 'love you too'.

Of all bliss, known or unknown, I invites the sleepless nights to find the best,

and then I wake up to avoid injustice with the rest.

The denial

I am not ready to accept,

That I had lost you,

On the other side of story,

You are lost somewhere too.

My friends ask me to move on,

And try things that are new,

But whatever I get into,

It’s so much allied to you.

I work on my novel,

I wrote two more songs too,

I watch, I listen, and I sleep,

But nothing separates me from you.

I text throughout the day,

I hang out with my friends,

I gossip, I eat, and I play,

But the drilling of voids never end.

In the midst of your denial,

I am still holding you.

May be I pretend to move,

My stubborn heart is in love with you.

I know I am just twenty,

Life will feed me with more lovers,

But first love has its own craze,

For which I am ready to suffer.

So come back to me,

Forgetting your fake denial,

Let’s start a new story,

Push rest all into thirsty fire.

You take your own time,

I will take my own,

But make sure when we meet,

Time blend of its own.

My collar bones use to hurt you,

But now my shoulders are too stiff,

You can caress on these strong ones,

And sing our favorite lyrics.

I will be holding you even this time,

But now you will be free to move,

I changed my soul for you,

Can’t you decline your denial too..?
